About Us

The Riley team of consultants brings a wealth of technology and State of California business process experience to the table. They have worked together over the past twenty years delivering successful solutions designed to fit the business problem in time critical solutions. They have delivered projects for the California Employment Development Department, Secretary of State, Department of Justice and most recently for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation in response to the significant class action lawsuits filed against the State. They actively participate in all phases of the project lifecycle including implementation of new policy driven changes.

Robb Thompson - Managing Partner

Mr. Thompson has 30 years experience delivering system integration business. He has successfully managed application development efforts for both private and public sector business, having worked recently on some of the state of California's largest and most complex systems (including the EDD Unemployment Insurance system, Covered California's Healthcare Exchange, and Department of Social Services Child Welfare System. While his background is primarily technical (having served as Solution or Application Architect on the aforementioned projects) he most enjoys working with teams to ensure that business imperatives are driving delivered solutions. In all of Riley's work, Mr. Thompson strives to inject humor and humility as his teams work with client partners to succesfully deliver. Mr. Thompson has a BS in Comp Sci and Math from UCDavis, and an MBA from UC Berkeley. 

 

John Hopkins – Technical Architect

Mr. Hopkins is a technical archtiect with over 20 years of exprience developing custom applications for the State of California. Mr. Hopkins has vast experience with Visual Studio.Net, the .NET Framework and Object Oriented methodologies as well as Oracle and SQL database design and development. Mr. Hopkins has managed teams of State and vendor programming staff and has provided many knowledge transfer sessions to State IT personnel
